Trip Introduction:

The Annapurna Base Camp trek brings you to the 10th highest mountain in the world. The journey to its base camp is one of the most popular treks on earth. The trek lead through typical Gurung and Magar villages and follows the Modi Khola upstream into the Annapurna Sanctuary, a valley surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks.The lush Rhododendron forest, happy villages and dramatic mountain view which makes the trek the most popular. The trek is moderately difficult with ups and downs on rugged trail.The fabulous mountain scenery & the rich cultural diversity traverses across a wide spectrum of lush rural farmlands and pretty villages where we see the local women folk humming romantic tunes while on their daily chores & cows with vermilion splattered foreheads that seem to be smiling at you in a hearty welcome to their home.

Annapurna Base Camp Trekking will take you to Annapurna base camp (4130m) and Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700 meters)  located at the heart of a natural amphitheater, a picture that will remain with you forever. The sunrise is another view to cherish, as it gradually illuminates the peak of Annapurna I (8091 m). The last highlight of this trek is to return the same way until you reach Chhomrong village. Just 20 minutes from the lodge at Jhinu Danda there are the natural hot spring, a gift from nature, in which to relax. Your last day of trekking will take you through Landruk village and onto your final destination at Phedi. You will be drive to Pokhara by vehicle for about an hour and a half.

Itinerary

Day 1Landed at Kathmandu, Meet Pariwar Holiday Representative, & meet guide, transfer to Hotel.

After arrival at Kathmandu International airport, make visa, clear all your Bags and luggage’s and you meet Pariwar Holidays airport Representative who will assist you to transfer your hotel. Our representative will help you to check into your designated hotel, then you will be briefed about your daily program. This is your first overnight in the Kathmandu valley.

Day 2Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley and trek preparation.

After having breakfast at hotel, we will take your sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley a city of history and full of culture for tourist. The city presents an interesting holy mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and western influence of mix Culture. There will be a day guided tour to the famous and biggest Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath (Monkey Temple) and Kathmandu Durbar Square, all of them are UNESCO World Heritage sites, return to hotel and you will have some time to buy trekking gear if you need and overnight at your hotel.

Day 3Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (200 Km) (827m/2,700ft): 6-7 hours

In the morning time we catch Bus from Kathmandu Tourist Bus park and drive along the Trisuli and Marsyangdi River to reach Pokhara. Pokhara is a tourist’s paradise full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, & temples of Buddhist and Hindus.

Day 4Pokhara to Naya Pool (Drive) to Ghandruk (1940m/6360 ft): 5 - 6 hours.

You will leave Pokhara early in the morning. You can take bus, or hire a taxi or a car to reach Naya Pool (New Bridge) or to Phedi. The transport means ends here and ahead is the path where you can start your trekking journey. From Phedi, the route starts up to the steep hill. Following the trail you will pass the Dhampus in your right and the ridges provides the fascinating views of the Annapurna and Manaslu. Finally we reach to Ghandruk a village of gurung community and overnight there.

Day 5Ghandruk to Chomrong (2170m/7120ft): 5 - 6 hours.

After the breakfast, we start our trek climb up for an hour to get to the highest point of Ghandruk, Ghandrukkot and then steep descending trail that takes us to the Kimron Khola. Beyond Kimron Khola we once again, climb a steep uphill climb followed by an hour long walk. Finally we reach to, Chhomrong where we get magnificent views of towering Annapurna South, with the Fishtail Mountain (Machhapuchhare) facing across the valley. Chhomrong is a beautiful village located in the lap of the giant Annapurna area . Overnight in Chhomrong.

Day 6Chomrong to Bamboo (2310m/7578ft): 4 - 5 hours.

After Breakfast we start our trek from Chomrong we descend to cross the Chomrong Khola and then once again ascend to rejoin the Modi Khola valley. We continue to climb a little more gradually to reach our lunch spot at Kuldi Ghari (2377 m). In the afternoon we ascend through bamboo forest to Bamboo. Over night at a lodge.

Day 7Bamboo to Deurali (3230m/10,595ft): 3 - 4 hours.

Morning wakeup is pleasure with the nice view of mountain if the weather is nice. After that, you will have breakfast,and start trek from Bamboo to Deurali. The trail is mostly uphill and jungle walk. It takes 6-7 hours walk. You will pass many village, Dovan, and Himalaya during the trek. Deurali is located 3230m, overnight at Lodge.

Day 8Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,545ft) via Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m/12135ft): 5- 6 hours

Today is your achievement day, we will trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp. Annapurna Base Camp is located 4130m. It takes 5-6 hours walk. The trail is all the way uphill. When you arrive at Machhapuchhre Base Camp, you will have again the nice view of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Gandharva Chuli, Glacier Dom, Annapurna III, Gangapurna etc. You will continue to Annapurna Base Camp, overnight at Lodge. If the weather stays nice, you will have the nice sunset and sunrise from here.

Day 9Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2310m/7578ft): 7 – 8 hours

Today,morning you fill very good you will enjoy another beautiful sunrise over the mountains in the Annapurna region. After enjoying the view, you will come back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, leaving the majestic mountains, heavenly landscape behind, and rocky, yet the beautiful valley behind, walking past the Machhapuchhre base camp, Deurali and Dobhan, we will now enter the forest of oak, bamboo and rhododendron and walk down to Bamboo for overnight stay.

Day 10Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1760m/5770 ft): 5 - 6 hours

Breakfast at Bamboo, leaving Bamboo you will first hike to Kuldighar. and now the trail is quite flat until you reach Sinuwa. You trek gradually descends to the Chhomrong Khola and you have to follow stone staircase for almost an hour to reach Chhomrong. From the Chhomrong village, about 40 min downhill walk past Taulung will finally bring you to the Jhinu Hill. You enjoy the natural hot spring and explore the area around.

Day 11Trek to Naya Pul and drive to Pokhara : 6 hours trek, 1.5 hour drive

Today is our last walking day in the trek, after walking 8 hours along the Modi river, leads on downhill with stone steps through farm terraces passing another Nayapul (New Bridge) small settlement by the River Modi we will reach Nayapul. After one and half hour drive from Nayapul , we will reach Pokhara. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu: 6 -7 hours

We take tourist bus from pokhara at 7am for Kathmandu with lot of memory of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek.

Day 13International airport drop, final departure.

You will be transferred to the Kathmandu international airport for your final departure to your loving home with excellent memory and overwhelming adventure of a lifetime on Annapurna Base Camp trekking.
